Finicity is an open banking platform used daily by millions of people managing their financial lives. When the company needed to build out a new floor at their Murray office, they brought us in to design a workspace that matched the scale and ambition of what they were building.

The project spans roughly 14,000 square feet on the third floor of a Murray office building. For a company whose employees spend most of their working hours at their desks, we wanted the space to earn their time. It needed to not just function well, but feel worth being in.

The breakroom became the heart of that effort. Rather than treating them as a secondary space, we always think of break areas as a gathering point. This one has a full kitchen, long island, banquette seating along the wall, and a view out over the city.

The hallway connecting the main entry to the open office floor was another opportunity. Wood slat panels run the full length of the wall and fold up across the ceiling, pulling you through the space and arriving at the open floor plan beyond. It's a strong moment in what could have been a forgettable corridor.

Throughout, the palette stays grounded. Polished concrete floors, exposed black ceiling structure, warm wood tones against darker materials. The open office is clean and functional, with acoustic panels overhead and enough natural light to make the hours easier.
