The Insulet Headquarters tenant improvement was guided by a need to balance the historic architectural integrity of the Salt Lake Hardware Building with the modern, vibrant branding elements of our client. Creating a strong architectural presence to complement and heighten the experience of this balance became the primary focus of the design.

To achieve this, our team focused on designing a space that respected the existing historic architectural tectonic while incorporating bold and contemporary branding elements. By blending the warm brick and wood elements of the building with sleek glass and metal accents, we were able to achieve a perfect fusion of old and new.

One of the highlights of the design was the incorporation of branded graphics on the office glass walls. These custom graphics not only served to enhance the aesthetic appeal of the space but also seamlessly integrated the client's branding into the existing architecture.

In order to cater to a variety of workstyles and foster collaboration, our workplace design featured a carefully curated combination of furniture. Communal tables provided a space for teamwork and interaction, while private offices offered privacy and focus. The diversity of these furniture options ensured that every individual had a special place within the office, tailored to their specific needs and preferences.

We chose furniture that would pair well with the warmth of the exposed wood and brick that defines the space. Dark neutrals in the lounge areas worked to balance the warmth with layers of cool sophistication, effortlessly supporting the lounge area’s ability to provide respite within the busy workspace. Elsewhere, pops of red and wood textures in furniture enhanced the inherent charm of the building.

The building’s historic style presented both constraints and opportunities, inspiring our team to think creatively and find innovative solutions that honored the building's rich history.
