designer, artists, cat enthusiast.

Jamie is a skilled architectural designer with a knack for asking insightful questions, bringing a thoughtful, human-centered approach to our team. Educated in architecture at the University of Cincinnati, Jamie possesses a strong foundation of formal training. Originally from Toledo, she currently works and lives in Brooklyn, New York, representing our team on the east coast.

When not working, Jamie spends her time knitting, cooking, and hanging out with her cat Agnes, the world’s most beautiful orange and white tabby. She’s passionate about being connected to her community, leading her to play an active role in local cookbook and knitting clubs, as well as regularly volunteering with the NYC organization Wellfare, a nonprofit dedicated to providing healthy, clean food to those facing food insecurity.

After past experiences working at larger firms, Jamie appreciates the relaxed, close-knit nature of our studio. Besides being able to flex her software skills and formal training, her role has allowed her flexibility, bringing her experience in client management and the ins and outs of running a small business. She’s actively working towards gaining certification as an architect with an impressive dedication.

Jamie’s personal experiences with important third spaces in her life has led her to gain a special interest in designing for the important moments in between work and home. She seeks to add value to communities in each project she touches, and intuitively understands the larger context for her designs. She believes that economic inequality is at the root of many of the major problems facing our world, and gives special attention to the complexities of class as it intersects with her daily life and work.

Jamie’s caring nature shines in everything she does. She is a friend to all in our studio, and brings the same level of care and attention to detail to her relationships as she does to her work. She is self-assured, resourceful, and gifted at finding innovative, creative solutions to problems. She cares about people through and through, which helps her to ask the right questions at the right time. Her people skills pair well with her flawless aesthetic sense and her rigorous attention to detail, making her a wholly effective designer, team member, and human.
